choices

Listening

Her Name is FIRE

She's a monster...a beautiful, 17 year old, monster whose story is told by Kristin Cashore. FIRE takes place 35 years before GRACELING.

I miss Kelley & Sonny (WONDROUS STRANGE). It's random, I know, I just had to say it.

Brigan, Prince Brigan, commander of the King's army. I must say I am liking him "Soldiers would fall head over hilt to die for him." Supposedly, he's not that handsome, but with a line like that he doesn't need to be. That line says everything!

While listening I work on my genealogy. Toggling back and forth between Ancestry, email, and various documents stored on my thumb drive.

Season 3 - Panama

It's evening now, Russ turned on the TV. We're watching the final episode of Season 3. I will never visit Panama.

It's ironic, really, I have an astronomical fear of prison (something I don't normally go around telling people), yet here I sit watching Prison Break. I'm not sure when I acquired the fear, but I was little.

Monroe Correctional Complex

Sometimes, my parents would drive by the MCC. It always made my heart race and my hands and feet go cold for as long as I can remember. One day I asked what it was, that big place surrounded by fence, my dad told me it was the prison. I didn't really know what a prison was and I never wanted to find out, that much I was certain of.

Have I ever mentioned I'm a bit claustrophobic? At least I think I am -- it's not so much the size of the space, but the ability to leave it that gets my blood pumping. I don't think I could live on an island, even a big one, even if I had a boat. I have to be able to walk away, take a different path, have a choice.

Choice. That's what it always comes down to for me. If I don't think I have one I want to run. Every decision I make is based on the choices it affords me and the more choices available the better I feel.

Brigham Young University - No Fences

Even taking general education courses, at BYU, I chose classes that led to the most majors. I didn't want to be limited and I didn't want to do double duty.

Salt Lake Temple

When I married, I married in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. Family - FOREVER -Nobody gets left behind. Infinite choices, infinite possibilities.
