Stefen got his mission call.
We put him on speaker.
Heard the envelope rip, the paper unfold.
Heard his voice read confidently the words of the letter, then begin to shake as it stated his worthiness to serve the Lord.
We heard the anticipation, the excitement, the sobs of joy.
Stefen will serve in the Kenya Nairobi Mission - English speaking!
Serve in Nairobi, where the temperature is 75 degrees most of the year.
Nairobi, where the population is over 2,000,000.
This mission is new, created less than a year ago.
As of January 2010, Kenya has 1 stake and 5 wards.
We are all so EXCITED for Stefen. He reports August 11th.
I'm so grateful for his mother, Shauna.
She's honest, brave, and courageous.
When we love each other, help each other, when we care, we open the gateway for limitless possibilities.
My boys are wondering where they'll go.

Jax and I loved it! Next up, GATHERING BLUE by Lois Lowry.

Beautifully written, no wonder Brooklynn's read it five times. Jax read it last year, he remembered every detail and warned that I should not listen to it with him in the room or he would be tempted to tell me everything.

I ordered this one by accident, thinking it was part of the MAXIMUM RIDE series by the same author. I thought I might as well listen to it since I had it. It's not "my" favorite, but it would be great for alien loving kids. Evidently, Jax is not one of these. He's now listening to THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS series by Cassandra Clare.
