the end is the beginning

Life is crazy busy! The remodel is still in progress, the husband keeps saying there's so much to do, the kids are all running in different directions, but it's all good. The sun is shining, the flower beds are weeded. The new floor will be fully installed this weekend. The kitchen, family room and bathroom have been painted. The cabinets will be finished next Friday or Saturday. And in the midst of all the craziness I find time for the little things that make me happy.

In love with this book. Cassandra Clare is a marvel! I often, often, think of writing my own book, but when I read her work I always feel like I could never quite measure up. I'm listening for a second time.

Anxiously Awaiting - December 6, 2011

THE INFERNAL DEVICES is every bit as wonderful as THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS! Which do I love more? I feel sooo torn!

I wasn't sure I liked the direction the 3rd book was going to take, but Brandon Sanderson is amazing and I'm quite pleased how the characters are evolving.

It's Over - The Longest Running Sci-Fi Series of All Time

Can I say I'm sad to see it end? I'm sad to see it end. I put off watching the last two episodes. In some way it wasn't over until I'd seen them, so if I didn't watch, well, you get the picture.

 Be still my heart! As much as I love the idea of Superman, I love Green Arrow -- I think it's that bad boy persona. You just want to love his broken pieces back together.

Lex - back for the finale

I've missed Lex. I was glad he came back for the finale. I would have preferred that he hadn't killed Tess. And I think a funeral would have been nice -- I mean really, she deserved some kind things said about her in the end, don't you think?

I think Brian Peterson, executive producer, said it best, "To be honest, I hope the way that we've ended the finale...leaves people satisfied...that it's not just an end it's a beginning." So, from one fans perspective, they left me wanting more and that's a hard place to be in, but I think they accomplished exactly what they set out to do. Well done!

The Secret Circle - NEW Thursday's This Fall

They're witches. I might give the show a go to fill my Smallville void. I haven't decided if I should read the book or be surprised.

I also have this series marked to read.

Vampire Diaries is a show as well. Maybe I'll start there and see where it goes....

Bones - Brennan & Booth

The season finale - what can I say? The season was heart wrenching near the end and I wondered if the writers would just add salt to the wound, but then they allowed us the joy of Angela & Hodgins new arrival and Brennan's news to Booth. I think I felt a little bit cheated, but then Booth smiled, my heart melted, and I shed a tear. I don't know what awaits us next season, but I hope it's a season filled with love. No, I don't mean that it's perfect, but that's when love is best, right? When it endures in the face of imperfection.
