While I've been away, I've still been reading. Time to play catch up :D
YAY!!! Enough said. I have, waiting for me to listen,
CITY OF FALLEN ANGELS. The first of three that will follow
CITY OF GLASS. I've decided that I don't do well having to wait an entire year to find out what happens next, let alone two years until there will be a resolve to the chaos I'm sure to unfold. Call me crazy, but I'm waiting to begin listening. I'm waiting to begin until a few months before the third comes out. For now, I shall be satisfied in my happy place. I'm just not ready to give up my joy!

My honey saw this book and said, "Wow, that's a big book. So many words." It was a big book, a big book that ended a great trilogy. I'm looking forward to reading
THE ALLOY OF LAW set 341 years after
THE HERO OF AGES.
THE ALLOY OF LAW will be released November 7, 2011.

I enjoyed it enough to see where it goes in the future.

LOVED IT!!! I read it, Russ read it, Logan read it.
ENCLAVE is a must read for anyone who enjoyed
THE HUNGER GAMES (can't wait for the movie) and/or
THE MAZE RUNNER (excited for
THE DEATH CURE to be released October 11, 2011 -- just around the corner). I love the action, love the characters, and am looking forward to the next book,
OUTPOST!!!

I liked it...a satisfying ending. I love it when authors share their musical inspirations. Lisa Mangum shares hers
here.

I cried, but even through the tears I was able to smile. That's saying something. Thank you Lou for providing sweet with the bitter in
BLUE. I would love to read more of this story.

My husband was totally surprised I loved ENCLAVE and if he knew that I enjoyed
THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH, by
Carrie Ryan, I think he'd be even more shocked. The dead are walking and mooooaaaannnninnnngggg.... So glad her honey, JP, took her to see a zombie movie one day and that she consented to go even though she had sworn off all things horror in 1983.

I was worried, worried that I wouldn't find out what happened to Mary. Would never know what became of those in the Forrest. I was okay with how she handled it all. I didn't think I would be, but I was. Her third book,
THE DARK AND HOLLOW PLACES, arrived in my mailbox two days ago. It's next up on my "to-read" list. I think the hardest part of Carrie's stories are that she has no problem killing off people I come to love. Maybe she does, maybe she sheds a tear for them, maybe her heart skips knowing her readers are going to cringe and their hearts are going to drop into their stomachs. One thing's for sure I don't get nearly enough oxygen from the time I start to the time I finish. It's a race from the first word to the last.

It was okay, but I'm ready for it to be over. Which is a shame because really quite enjoyed the first. So I made a decision, one I've never made before...

| Skipped |
...I skipped the third book. Yes you read it right, skipped it. I always have to finish what I start, but it just keeps going on-and-on-and-on.

Glad I skipped the third, rushed through the fourth.

Well, this was interesting. I had almost more questions at the end then I did throughout the series. I think final books should be final, meaning I'm not left wondering why a certain main character does and says a certain something. Maybe it's me, but I would have preferred she had skipped the third, combined the fourth and fifth, written the sixth as the third and then a fourth to take us on a new journey.

I was really looking forward to this book. I really liked
FALLEN, I really did.
TORMENT was good. I had high hopes for
PASSION and I was especially looking forward to it after
THE IMMORTALS. It was off to a good start, and then enters a gargoyle. A gargoyle, really? It's not so much as to what the gargoyle represents, but that the form is a gargoyle, who speaks out of character. The sad thing is this book had so many possibilities, it could have been sooooo much better. Lauren had some great ideas and I loved the traveling component, but to what end? This series is going to continue and I just don't know if I can keep going. I probably will, but I hope the next one is as good as the first.

After a string of reads that just weren't doing it for me, I was worried. What to read next? I was going to go with
SHIVER, by Maggie Stiefvater, but since I didn't get my angel fix satisfied I decided to give
HUSH, HUSH, by
Becca Fitzpatrick, a shot. I didn't have high hopes, but was pleasantly surprised. I laughed, which I sorely needed, and found myself enjoying the danger and being reminded of just how much I love those bad boys! What is it about them? Their ability to push away and pull close in the same sentence. Gotta love 'em!

I'm 1/4 of the way through and can't wait 'til I can read some more this evening. The third and final book SILENCE will be out October 4, 2011 and I've already programmed my ipad to alert me! I'm also looking forward to finding a copy of

Authors include: Becca Fitzpatrick, Caitlin Kittredge, Karen Mahoney, Justine Musk, Daniel Marks, Diana Peterfreund, Sarah Rees Brennan, Michelle Rowen, Carrie Ryan, Maggie Stiefvater, Rachel Vincent, Daniel Waters, Michelle Zink
Happy Reading Everyone!!! If you love it as much as I do I recommend Goodreads.com my favorite place to keep track of what I read and find new books to love :D
