Everyone went every which way today.
Logan went to Chelan, with the Bucknum Family.
Jet skiing on the wakes of a ferry, an hour long drive on the Stehekin, going 50mph. Barefoot, shirtless, and in nothing but their swim trunks, Logan and Jordan returned the rented jet ski and found the dining hall had just closed. Encouraged to get a bite to eat while waiting for the rest of the family to catch up by boat traveling at half their speed, they walked a mile in the direction they were told food would be available. Arriving at the highway they determined the woman who gave them directions pointed the wrong way. The two boys turned around, walked the mile back and then another mile in the other direction only to find from a native that they were still a mile shy of their food goal. Pushing forward, still armed with Debbie's credit card, they found a pizza joint. Realizing the rest of their party was getting close they turned their intention toward ordering for the family. Upon reaching the front door they were met with the sign "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service" tired and hungry they ducked into a Shell station for corn dogs and chips. The crew arrived finding the boys sitting on the curb downing the last of their chips. Retrieving their shirts and flip flops from the van they passed on the pizza and opted for sleep instead. Logan came home deeply bronzed, with blushed cheeks and wind blown hair. The soles of his feet were black. His blue eyes bright and a smile played on his lips as he recounted the fun-filled adventures of the day and his new love of jet skiing.
Russ and Jax went boating, on the Columbia River, with the Butcherite Family.
Brooklynn and I picked up one of her friends and brought him back to our house. While they worked on a project for English, that's due tomorrow, I made this
Jen's sister, Amy, pinned this pic to one of her boards on Pinterest. I followed the link to the blog
Kevin {&} Amanda. Not only is the picture mouth wateringly perfect, but the recipe is
divine. The Butcherite's are coming over to BBQ some chicken, eat some romain lettuce tossed with cucumbers and strawberries, devour some french bread and watermelon. This is what's for dessert.
Brooklynn's friend, Coyle, tried a piece before he headed home to let me know if it turned out. He said, "...one word,
AMAZING!" I believe him!!!
I haven't stopped reading.

S'alright. I'll read SURRENDER
That said...the next book will be about different characters. I hate it when authors do this. Rather then wait one year to find out what I want to know I have to wait two! Truthfully, it makes me a bit frustrated :/ It's on my '
not-to-do' list if I ever write a trilogy.

Eh...it was alright, I'll read UNFORSAKEN

Loved it!
I purposely put off reading
UNCOMMON CRIMINALS by Ally Carter and read some books that I didn't know if I would like or love first. I do this with food too. I always save the best bite for last, and sometimes my husband comes along and takes it right off my plate leaving me feeling deprived and frustrated, but that's another post.
Anyway, I was glad I held out. I love Ally's style, she's witty and smart, and gives you something to think about. Now I just have to get through another year 'til the next installment comes out. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can....
